Adi's trips to South Padre (Dec 2007 & 2008)

The first 3 pics are Adi's first trip to the ocean! She was only 11 months old and wasn't even walking yet! This past year she was so excited that we were going and kept saying "ocean, ocean" on our trip down there. Oh how that tune changed when we actually got there! She loved feeding the seagulls & LOOKING at the water, but she didn't want to really get anywhere near the water!! I think it was just a little overwhelming for her. Bless her heart! So we tried to get her to play in the sand...Adi is one that doesn't really like to get her hands dirty so the feel of the sand didn't sit well with her at first. Finally, towards the end of the trip she would sit down and play in it a little bit more! I was able to get some really cute pics! I love the pic of Adi and I's feet! My favorite picture though has to be the one of Adi looking out into that GREAT BIG OCEAN..so sweet & innocent...

Christmas 2008

Okay so I know these are Christmas pics from last year but I had to post em! We sent out photo Christmas cards last year and wanted to do a family photo so our photographer "AKA" Bliss said she would be more than happy to take some shots for us! We had the best time doing it!! She took tons of pics not knowing if she had captured that perfect one! I'm posting a few that are my favorites & that we ended up using for the cards (although they all were cute)!! We sent out a card that had two pictures on it..Adi was on the main picture holding the candy cane and in the corner of the card was a smaller pic of the family. It was the one of us in front of the Christmas tree! They turned out super cute!!

Adi's first trip to the library!

Adi loves books and loves to read! So I have been wanting to take her to the library for Storytime! Well I found out that the Southwest Regional library offers Storytime on Wednesdays at 10:30 and 11:15! So yesterday we took a trip up to the library at 11:15..it was a hit!! Adi loved the fun little songs they acted out and loved being read to! After that we stood in line and got our library card and we were off to the Children's section to look at all the books and dvds! She was having so much fun sitting at the little tables and looking through the books and coloring on the little pieces of paper! Her little face just lit up walking around and experiencing it all for the first time! She loves the Polar Express movie and loves trains so I decided to see if they had it for her to check out..at first the librarian told us that all of their copies seem to be missing but she would keep looking for one for us. Adi was so disappointed when she walked away..I kept trying to explain to her that we were unable to find it but she just didn't understand..she kept saying "the lady find Polar Express??" I felt so bad..until a few minutes later when the librarian came around the corner & said "look I found a copy!" Adi was thrilled!!
So then we headed over to the DVD section where she was equally thrilled when she saw all of the Strawberry Shortcake & Max & Ruby DVDs that they had, LOL! So we headed to the check out line w/our books & DVDs..it was too cute..anytime we are checking out at a store she will say "Adi help pay for it!" So I had to explain to her the concept of BORROWING from the library :) The teaching never ends :)
P.S. So cute..in the first pic you can see that she is saying "All Aboard..!!"
